The SHGs had procured large quantities of raw materials from local markets as well as Chhatisgarh and West Bengal as the timely delivery of these flags was of the essence. “For us it is not a job, it is a matter of pride. We are taking extra care while stitching the flags so that there will not be a violation of the flag code and no disrespect would be shown to the tricolour. We are feeling proud that the tricolours we are stitching will be hoisted at each and every home from August 13-15,” said Pramila Barik, member of an SHG group.
