Those who have forgotten to impress loved ones with Rose Day, Propose Day, and Chocolate Day, here is another special day to express feelings. The middle of Valentine’s week is dedicated to Teddy Day which falls on February 10 every year.
It is the perfect day to express your love for special ones with a stuffed teddy bear. A teddy with a lovely message can simply convey your feelings for the special person in your life.

Teddy bears became popular worldwide and hugely admired among stuffed animals. However, the history behind this toy is quite interesting.
Have you wondered from where Teddy bears get their name? The name is inspired by former US President Theodore ‘Teddy’ Roosevelt.
In 1902, President Theodore made national headlines when he refused to shoot a bear while hunting in Mississippi. Clifford Berryman published a cartoon of the event in the Washington Post on November 16th, 1902, and surprisingly the caricature went on to become an instant classic.
It is when New York store owner Morris Mitchtom and his wife Rose saw the cartoon and decided to create a stuffed toy bear, commemorating the US President’s kind act. Morris Mitchtom called it – Teddy’s Bear. This is the story behind the origin of the Teddy Bear.
