Born to veteran star Suresh Oberoi, actor Vivek Oberoi grew up in film circles in Mumbai. So, hardly anyone was surprised when he decided to follow his father’s path in films. Released in 2006, director Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara was a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Othello. The film included a star cast like Ajay, Kareena, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu and Vivek. Firangi was seen in a supporting role in the film as Vivek Keshav “Kesu”.

Shaad Ali Ki Saathiya featured the love story of Vivek’s characters Aditya with Suhani, played by Rani Mukerji. After meeting at a wedding, Aditya falls in love with Suhani. He follows Suhani and after some time, the girl also feels for him. Both decided to get married against the wishes of their family. The film shows the ups and downs of their relationship and how they come to terms with their love.
