Aarahi’s Anarkali
In director Avinash Das’s 2017 release Anarkali of Aarah, Swara plays a dance from a local village in Bihar who is harassed by a local politician and finds no support from the local police. However, she manages to overcome all odds to come out clean. While the film failed to impress the cine-lovers at the box office, Swara was highly praised for her portrayal. The film also starred actors Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles.
Veere Di Wedding
Despite having a star-studded cast like Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, Swara garnered a strong screen presence with her character. The film revolves around the friendship of four girls who go through the ups and downs of their lives. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Veere Di Wedding received a good response from the audience at the box office upon its release.
Raanjhanaa
Though Swara’s character in this Aanand L Rai directorial had limited screen time, the actor managed to leave a mark in the minds of the audience with her strong performance in Raanjhanaa. Swara plays Bindiya, who loves Dhanush’s character despite knowing that she has feelings for it. Role played by Sonam Kapoor.
nil batte silence
The film, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, revolves around the relationship of a single mother played by Swara and her daughter. Swara’s character decides to resume her education to motivate her daughter to get good grades in SSC. Nil Battey Sannata also stars actors Ratna Pathak Shah and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles.
