Sharad and Keerti met in 2004 on the sets of the TV show Aakrosh. It was love at first sight for Sharad. Later both of them acted in shows like Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Saat Phere. As the two met again and again, their closeness grew and they started dating each other. Sharad not only fell in love with Keerti at first sight, he also considers her as his lucky charm. In an interview, Sharad had said that it was only after meeting Kirti that he got two of her biggest shows Saat Phere and Sindoor Tere Naam Ka.
After dating for some time, the couple tied the knot in June 2005. It was a traditional Marathi wedding and the ceremony continued for three days. They welcomed their daughter Kesha in February 2014. The story behind the name Kesha – ‘Kirti’ and ‘Sharad’. Apart from acting, Sharad has also gained fame as a voice over artist.
