New Delhi: Actor Ranveer Singh celebrates his birthday on July 6 and will turn a year older in his unique style. The talented star is starting his special day in the US with wife Deepika Padukone. The actor rose to stardom in 2010 with his first venture ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ opposite Anushka Sharma. He has a solid filmography including ‘Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao-Mastani’ and ‘Padmavat’ among others.

Ranveer Singh, the bundle of energy, is popularly known as Ranveer Singh. Although his full name is Ranveer Singh Bhavnani. He reportedly dropped his surname Bhavnani, as he felt the name would be “too long, too many syllables”, thus reducing his brand to a “marketable item”.
Born in Mumbai to Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani, Ranveer has an elder sister named Ritika Bhavnani. The actor initially enrolled at the HR College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, but soon realized his love for the camera. He later moved to the United States of America and completed his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. He lived in America for about four years.
The talent of our Bollywood star is not limited to just acting. Ranveer is known as a great rapper. Actually, she has given her voice for a short rap song in one of her films ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Behl’. He has rapped for many commercials till now. Some examples are the Durex condom ad and Ching’s ad.
Soon after coming back from the United States, Ranveer took up a job in an advertising agency. He reportedly worked as a copywriter for some time with O&M and Jay Walter Thompson. He also worked as an assistant director before getting his big break in Bollywood.
