Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and Pakistan’s Muhammad Rizwan shared a great bond while playing for Sussex in the County Championship Division Two 2022. On Wednesday, Pujara caught another glimpse of their camaraderie by posting a special birthday message for his teammate on Twitter.
“Happy birthday, Mohammad Rizwan. Have a wonderful year ahead,” wrote Pujara in the caption, posting a picture of himself with Rizwan.

Earlier, Rizwan had rated Pujara as the second cricketer in his list in terms of pure concentration and focus.
“But he (Pujara) is a very nice and loving boy. And also his concentration and attention. If you get a chance to learn something, you must do it. In terms of the level of concentration and I conveyed this to the coaches here as well. Throughout my career, the players with the most focus and concentration have been Younis bhai, Fawad Alam and his [Pujara’s], Pujara is second on my list and Fawad Alam is at three in terms of pure concentration and focus. I judge these three players very much,” Rizwan was quoted as saying during a conversation with Krikwick.
Recently, before the third day’s play against Durham in the County Championship Division Two 2022 match, two Sussex batsmen were seen chatting with each other.
The video was also posted from the official Twitter handle of the Sussexes. “Rizwan x Pujara pre-match pre-prep,” read the caption of the post.

Apart from Pujara, other cricketers have also wished Rizwan.
“Everything ends when it comes to Riji bhai. There are no words to praise him. Wishing Muhammad Rizwan a very Happy Birthday. – Superman of cricket world. The man who refused to give up. A superstar cricketer and even a great human being,” Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi wrote on Twitter, posting a picture of himself with the 30-year-old batsman.

Pakistani power-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman posted a picture of himself sitting next to Rizwan and in the caption he wrote, “His fighting spirit and humility is no match. A very happy birthday to our incredible artist and match winner Mohammad Rizwan. Image Credits: Shaheen Afridi.”
