Shahbaz Sharif has become the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday night. Haunting change happened in Pakistan, but its happiness is also being celebrated in a village in Punjab, India. This village is in Tarn Taran district, whose name is Jati Umra. Actually, this village is the ancestral village of the newly appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. Before independence, his family lived in this village.

Jati Umra village is about 81 km from Lahore, Pakistan. Before independence, the family of Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif lived here. Even today the grave of Mian Mohammad Baksh, the great-grandfather of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, is here in this village.

The special thing is that there is only one Gurughar in this entire village and that too is built on the family land of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The people of the village say that whenever people come to this gurughar to bow their heads, they remember the family of Shahbaz Sharif. When Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister, Ardas was also done in the Gurughar of the village.

The people of the village are still connected with the Sharif family.

Even though the family of Shahbaz Sharif had left the village Jati Umra before independence, but the people of this village are still associated with Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif. Balwinder Singh of the village says that there are about 40 youths of this village who are working in the factories of Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif in Dubai. The special thing is that the youth of this village only need to take the name of Jati Umra village and job is prepared for them in the factories of Sharif family.

relations between the two countries will improve

Dilbag Singh, another citizen of the village, told that after Mian Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister, now the relations between the two countries will get sweeter. Mian Shahbaz Sharif is still attached to his land. His family moved to Pakistan in 1932. Till 1947, people of village Jati Umra used to go to Lahore to work in his factory. Then the line was drawn between the two countries, but the Sharif family has also settled Jati Umra in 175 acres near Lahore in Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif went after launching projects worth crores

The village sarpanch Dilbag Singh says that in December 2013, Shahbaz Sharif was on a tour of India. Then he was the Chief Minister of Pakistan Punjab. During her visit to India, she also came to the village Jati Umra. Here he had started works worth several crores of rupees. Roads were paved, stadium was found, water system etc. was done. On his way, Shahbaz took the soil of this land with him. Now if he comes again, then by telling Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the remaining two works of this village will be built for girls’ college and government hospital too.
