A hand grenade was found near the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway, triggering panic in the area, officials said on Sunday.
On Saturday afternoon, some youths, who were taking a bath in the Yamuna, informed the police about the presence of hand grenades inside a sack.
As soon as the information was received, the team of Mayur Vihar police station along with NSG commandos reached the spot in Yamuna Khadar area.
The police had cordoned off the entire area to avoid any untoward incident.
“We don’t know where it came from. There are some shops of scrap dealers in the surrounding areas. We are questioning them,” said an informed official.
