It can be very difficult to maintain oily hair in monsoon, you are always busy washing your hair and wondering if you are over-shampooing your hair. Coconut milk is one of the healthiest natural ingredients for healthy hair. The remedy you should try is to mix freshly extracted coconut milk with a squeezed lemon and 4-5 drops of lavender essential oil. Leave it for 4-5 hours and then wash off.

One big myth that I would like to debunk is that people with oily hair do not need conditioner. They need conditioner as much as people with dry scalp; All they have to do is apply it on the hair and not take it on the scalp. Use a mild conditioner; Avoid using hair masks. A conditioner you can make at home for shine and shine. Grate some onions and some cabbage together and leave it overnight in a copper vessel. Add a few drops of ylang ylang essential oil in the morning to get rid of the onion smell. Add a few drops of herbal oil and then apply. Shampoo after 30 minutes. Your hair will get a great shine and colour. You can follow this routine once a week.

Dandruff cleanser for oily hair. Soak two spoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Make a paste of the seeds after getting up in the morning and mix lemon juice in it and apply it on the head. Before shampooing your hair, take 1 tbsp of water and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil. Apply it on your scalp and hair with your fingers. Shampoo your hair as you normally would.

To reduce oil from your hair, yet keep it shiny, use apple cider vinegar as your final rinse. Take 1 tsp for 1 cup of water. If your hair falls out after regular use, don’t worry, just reduce the amount of apple cider vinegar in your last rinse.

Stop running your hands or hairbrush frequently in your hair. This increases the sebum and oiliness of your hair. I’m not saying let them tangle, just try to brush a lot and just run your fingers through your hair and enjoy the natural flow of your hair.
