The havoc of H3N2 virus is continuously increasing in the country. According to media reports, so far 9 people have lost their lives due to H3N2 virus in the country. The maximum effect of the virus is being seen in Maharashtra. Recently there has been a case of death of MBBS student and elderly person infected with H3N2 virus. The Health Minister of Maharashtra has told that so far 352 cases of this virus have been reported in the state.

All schools in Puducherry have been closed from 16 to 26 March in view of the effect of the virus.

MBBS student was infected with Kovid-19 and H3N2 virus

According to media reports, a youth pursuing medical studies in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra had gone to Alibaug last week to hang out with his friends. After returning from there, his health started deteriorating. Investigation revealed that he was infected with Kovid-19 and H3N2 virus. He died on Monday during treatment at the hospital.

Elderly infected with H3N2 virus died in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The old man was 78 years old and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Hospitals are on alert in Maharashtra

State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant said patients infected with the H3N2 virus are being treated and hospitals have been asked to be on alert. He said that H3N2 virus is not fatal and it can be cured through treatment, so there is no need to panic.

Woman died in Gujarat’s Vadodara on Tuesday

A 58-year-old woman died in Gujarat’s Vadodara on Tuesday. According to the officials, in the investigation it was confirmed that he was infected with the virus.
