Gyanvapi Mosque survey case: Court asks to submit report on May 17, commissioner unchanged

A court in Varanasi on Thursday pronounced the verdict that the survey at the mosque must be completed by May 17. The ruling is related to the inspection of the Gyanvapi mosque located next to the iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple.

While hearing the petition on whether a survey could be conducted inside the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi, the court ruled that the report must be submitted by May 17. The local court had earlier directed the authorities to submit a report by May 10.

The court also appointed a second court commissioner, Vishal Kumar Singh, along with Ajay Mishra.
