Gurugram: Daily power cut, residents say that the developer has not yet constructed 33 kv infra. Gurgaon News – Times of India

GURUGRAM: Resident Of Pyramid Urban Homes 2 in Sector 86 have complained of frequent power failures and voltage fluctuations in their society. According to residents, the 11 KV feeder line supplies electricity to their flats. developerHe claimed that 33 kV switching stations are yet to be constructed despite the average recovery of Rs 50,000 per flat as power infrastructure development charges. The result is two to three hours power cut daily.
“The builder has obtained a temporary power connection of 11 KV. There are regular power cuts here, causing problems for those working from home and affecting the education of children. Even this winter, when consumption is low, we regularly face power cuts. Most of the residents have installed inverters, but sometimes, they too run out of battery,” said RK Jain, one of the residents.
The developer started giving flats to the landlords in December 2020. More than 600 families live in the society, which has 863 apartments. The relatives say that they have filed a complaint regarding the matter, but neither the developer nor the electricity department paid any attention to their problem.
“The developer doesn’t answer us and always hesitates when we ask about 33 KV Switching Station. Developers and discoms keep on spending money. There is no transparency in electricity bills. We are charged Rs 6.5 per unit and Rs 200 per month as fixed charges,” said another resident, Vijay Singh Saroa.
Despite repeated attempts, TOI could not reach the developer for comment.
Upon contact, Gaurav Dahiya, SDO ManesarSaid, “There is no shortfall in power supply from our side. All the developers of Sector 58-115 are required to construct 33 kV switching station either individually or with other builders. We are asking them to do so as soon as possible.”
