In the last 24 hours, 4,771 tests were conducted in the city, of which 586 were rapid antigen tests and 4,185 were RT-PCR tests. Of the 139 patients who have recovered from COVID, 136 are in home isolation and three are in a dedicated COVID-19 hospital or a health centre.
Meanwhile, a total of 8,911 people were vaccinated on Thursday. Of these, 7,569 were in the age group of 18-44 and the rest were above 45 years of age. The number of first doses in this was 1,861. The Health Department will set up 82 fixed session sites on Friday to vaccinate people. The first and second doses of Covishield will be given at 74 sites, the second dose of Covaxin will be available at six health centres, and the second dose of Sputnik V will be available at Sector 31 Polyclinic.
