Srinagar: Night temperatures improved at most places in Kashmir, while Gulmarg and Pahalgam recorded the coldest night of the season at minus 8.0 degrees Celsius and minus 9.0 degrees Celsius, respectively.
After fresh snowfall in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar and other parts of the valley recorded improvement in minimum temperatures.
The mercury settled at 0.4 degree Celsius in Srinagar.
Qazigund recorded a low of 0.5 degrees Celsius, while Kupwara in the northern district recorded a low of minus 1.1 degrees Celsius.
Contextually, meteorologists had predicted a further drop in the minimum temperature, saying that the days would be warm and the nights would be cool, amid dry weather conditions till January 7-(KNO)
