Gujarat: Woman booked to visit New Zealand with COVID positive child – Henry’s Club

According to the police, an FIR has been registered at Nikol police station against Hiralben Dungrani, a resident of Vishwa Residency in Nikol, Ahmedabad. Police said Dungarani’s daughter tested positive on December 23 and the two flew to New Zealand the same night.

According to police, the incident came to light on the morning of December 24 when health officials of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) reached Dungarani’s residence for inspection.

“After the child tested positive coronavirus On the morning of 23 December, the AMC asked her mother Hiral to be kept in quarantine for 14 days. However, when we reached his residence on the morning of December 24, the patient was not found,” said Dr Shefali Patel, medical officer, Nikol Urban Health Centre, East Zone, AMC.

Patel said, “The maternal grandfather of the patient told us that both Hiral and his daughter had gone to New Zealand to meet her husband on the night of 23 December.”

talking to Indian ExpressInspector VD Zala of Nikol police station said, “We have taken cognizance of the complaint and against the mother under section 270 of IPC for act likely to spread infection of disease for disobedience to an order given by public servant. 188 has been taken into account. filed an FIR for, and section 3 of Epidemic Diseases acts of disobeying an order. AMC officials have informed us that they will take up the matter with the New Zealand authorities.

AMC Deputy Health Officer Dr Ashwin Kharadi told The Indian Express that the health department has asked the state government to take up the matter with the authorities in New Zealand.
