Earlier, the state government had allowed offline education for classes 9 to 11 from July 26, following a drop in daily Covid-19 cases in the state and allowing colleges, polytechnics and class 12 students.
Similar to the SOPs issued for colleges and polytechnics and high schools, primary schools conducting offline education will have to teach with 50% capacity and strictly follow the COVID guidelines.
The state government has also made it mandatory for educational institutions to obtain prior consent from the parents of the students attending. Attendance has also been made voluntary.
