SURAT: Police arrested a 33-year-old man in Kaprada taluka of Valsad district for allegedly killing his 72-year-old paralyzed mother on Monday as she was hungry and asked for dinner to be served early.
The accused Satish Chaudhary escaped into the forest area after killing his mother Shali on Sunday night at their house in Amba Jangle village. Satish was nabbed on Monday.
“The woman was paralayzed and unable to cook food. When she requested him to serve her dinner on Sunday. Satish asked his wife, who was at her parents’ house, to come home early and bring cooked food,” said an officer of Kaprada police station.
“As his wife took some time to come from her parents’ house, an argument ensued between Satish and his mother. He got enraged and hit her with a blunt wooden object on her head,” said police.
