AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat authorities has given in-principle approval for works value Rs 118.12 crore for Sewage Therapy Crops (STP) of 73.98 MLD capability in 9 municipalities of the state.
Works of superior technology-based TP are carried out within the municipalities of the state for the aim of disposal of gray water amassed as a result of sewer community of municipalities of the state as per the norms of the Ministry of Setting as effectively such water could be re-used, recycled.
Chief minister Bhupendra Patel has given in-principle approval for the development of superior STPs for the 9 municipalities the place home wastewater was beforehand disposed off by way of previous know-how and in remedy oxidation ponds.
Patel has sanctioned the fund as a part of the environmental conservation strategy within the state for the development of Sewage Therapy Crops (STP) with superior know-how in these municipalities in 2022-23 and for related ancillary works required to make them absolutely useful.
These 9 municipalities embody Gadhada STP (6.3 MLD, capability, 23.29 crore), Kathlal STP (4.5 MLD capability, 14.02 crore), Mahudha STP (4 MLD capability, 10.00 crore), Patdi STP (3.4 MLD capability, 9.68 crore), Savarkundla STP (13.40 MLD capability, 30.56 crore), Bayad STP (5.07 MLD and 0.31 MLD capability, 13.17 crore), Siddhapur STP (13.50 MLD capability, 48.31 crore), Sojitra STP (2.5 MLD capability, 10.61 crore) and Vallabh Vidyanagar STP (21 MLD capability, 28.48 crore).
Accordingly, works of 161 STPs of Rs. 1850 crores with a complete capability of 1497 MLD in municipalities have already been sanctioned out of those STP works of 720 MLD capability are useful in 57 municipalities.
