Gujarat Board 10th Hindi paper allegedly leaked

Gujarat Board Class 10 Hindi paper has been allegedly leaked on Saturday, March 10. As per reports, the question paper with handwritten answers along with them went viral on social media. Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) Has said that he will get the paper leak investigated. The Hindi paper was the last examination of class 10th.

According to the media clam, the question paper was allegedly found on a WhatsApp group named “Apna Adda”. The exam started at 10.30 am, however, the question paper was found in circulation on social media platforms at 12.30 pm. Then the examination continued till 1.30 pm. During the examination period, students were not allowed to carry the question paper outside the classroom. Hence, the investigation is being done by the state board.

GSHSEB Chairman AJ Shah has said that the incident cannot be called a ‘paper leak’. The images were posted on the social media platform at around 12.45 pm, however, an investigation has been started in the matter and cybercrime will help in the same, he told TOI.

Dahod district police on Sunday arrested four of the five accused in the paper leak case. According to a report by a leading news agency, the five accused include the parents of a student, who was taking the exam, who said that he wanted to help his son in the examination.

The Congress party had said on Twitter, “Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Gujarat education model to you. The BJP ruled state for decades is ruining the future of students where exam papers are being leaked on social media.

Gujarat Board’s class 10, and 12 exams started from March 28. This year 9.72 lakh students had registered for class 10 exam, which is much less as compared to 2021. Last year, 14.03 lakh students applied. The exam, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was canceled and the board promoted all the students. The number of students who took the exam in 2020 was 11.05 lakh.
