The incident of a horrific road accident has come to light in Navsari, Gujarat. There was a fierce collision of bus and SUV car here on Saturday morning. Nine people have died in this accident, while more than 30 people have been injured. According to the police, the accident happened on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway. One seriously injured person has been referred to Surat.
According to reports, the bus which met with an accident on Navsari National Highway-48 was coming from a program in Surat. It is reported that the driver of the Toyota Fortuner coming from Valsad in the morning suddenly suffered a heart attack and lost control of the car. After this the SUV crossed the divider and collided with the bus coming from the front.
In this incident, all the eight people in the car lost their lives, while the death of one person in the bus has also come to the fore. The people in the bus have been admitted to a private hospital nearby.
Home Minister Shah expressed grief over the incident
Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted about this incident in Gujarat. He said, “The accident in Navsari is shocking. My condolences to those who have lost their family members in the accident. The local administration is providing immediate treatment to the injured. We wish them a speedy recovery.”
PM Modi expressed grief
Expressing grief over the accident, PM Modi said that he is hurt by the death of people in road accidents. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Apart from this, he announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
