Ahmedabad: Eleven more people Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad have tested positive for coronavirusThe number of infections in the leading business school has been increased to 81 in the last two weeks, IIMA said on Thursday.
The institute said in a release that of the 98 people who were tested on Tuesday by the health teams, 11 reported positive.
According to the dashboard of IIMA, a total of 81 people including these 11 have been found infected with the coronavirus from December 31, 2021 to January 11, 2022.
These include students, faculty members, employees, contract workers, community members and others.
“Those who have tested positive at IIMA are on their way to recovery without any serious cases. At present, around 95 per cent are asymptomatic and of whom 5 per cent are symptomatic, they have no treatment after 3-4 days of medical care. No symptoms,” IIMA said in a statement.
According to the institute’s COVID-19 dashboard, 67 out of the 81 found infected since the end of December are still active, including 34 students, six faculty members and 27 others.
Since September 2020, a total of 543 people, including 214 students at IIMA, have tested positive for coronavirus and 476 of them have been cured, it said.
