GTA Online update comes with new mission featuring Dr Dre and his songs – Times of India

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online is getting a new online storyline with the new ‘The Contract’ update. The free new update will be available to all GTA Online players on December 15th. Rockstar Games has confirmed that ‘The Contract’ is adding a new radio station to the game, which is expected to feature “some very special guest hosts”. The game’s developer also noted that the game’s pre-existing radio stations will receive “the first major update of its kind”. The story will also see the return of one of GTA V’s three main characters.
What’s new in ‘The Contract’ update?
‘The Contract’ update will mark the return of Franklin Clinto, one of the main characters in Grand Theft Auto V’s story. Rockstar Games has hired voice actor Sean Fonteno who will reprise his role as Franklin.
However, the highlight of this update will be the addition of rappers and music producers. Dr. Dre, who can play a big role in the story this time. Dr. Dre previously made a small appearance in ‘The Cayo Perico Heist’ update.

The new GTA Online story is expected to center around Dr. Dre. Players must join F. Clinton and Franklin’s agency partner to be part of a ‘wild ride’ to recover Dr. Dre’s lost phone, which has fallen into the wrong hands. The phone is said to store the ‘hottest asset in Los Santos’ – the new, unreleased track from Dr. Dre.
Other New Features
‘The Contract’ is expected to bring new properties and new additional side missions to the GTA Online game. It will also come with new vehicles including the announced Annus Jubilee and DuBeauchi Champion.
Radio stations can receive “many new and unreleased exclusive tracks from Dr. Dre and a massive line-up of artists”. This news will excite Dr. Dre fans as he hasn’t released any solo music since 2015. Snoop Dogg also claimed in October that Dr. Dre was busy making tracks for Grand Theft Auto.
