Panic spread after a grenade was recovered on the Delhi-Noida Direct Flyway in East Delhi on Saturday. Delhi Police reached the spot and was later defused by a team of National Security Guard.
Police said that the incident took place in Yamuna Khadar area of Mayur Vihar police station area and forensic investigation is being done in the matter.
According to police sources, some people were taking a bath in Yamuna Khadar area on Saturday afternoon, when they found a grenade in a sack present in the water. He immediately informed the police.
Soon a team of Mayur Vihar police station reached the spot and senior officers of East Delhi District Police also reached and the matter was informed to NSG.
Within a few hours NSG team arrived and started investigation.
