Greater Noida: After surgery for a quack, 22-year-old in hospital for a month. Noida News – Times of India

Greater Noida: A 22-year-old law student suffering from anal fistula alleged that a quack operated on him after which his condition worsened. The patient, admitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital for the past one month, may have lost a part of his rectum, doctors say, adding that he may need three or four operations.
Jitendra Prakash, who is originally from AligarhWell, said that he first started feeling pain and discomfort in 2020. His brother-in-law suggests that he meet a “doctor” named Vinay in Jewar. “He had diagnosed anal fistula five months back and asked me to arrange Rs 20,000, which I had to borrow from relatives,” Prakash said.
Vinay gave him anesthesia After another two hours for the operation, Prakash was told that the surgery was successful and he would not face any problem. However, the pain recurred and his condition became critical.
In October, Prakash visited the Self-Health Care Center in Aligarh, where doctors diagnosed him with a ‘complex anal fistula’ and referred him to a larger facility.
“They said the problem has escalated and they cannot treat me. When I spoke to Vinay to the doctors, he claimed that he had operated on me three-four years ago and I did not have this problem then. I shouted at him and said that he has spoiled my life.”
Prakash alleged that Vinay made casteist remarks against him when he threatened to complain against Vinay. Prakash said that he complained to the health minister of UP Jai Pratap Singh and Jewar Police. “NS health minister Directed that an inquiry be conducted,” he said. An FIR was registered against Vinay under sections 15(2) and 15(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act and sections 269 and 338 of the IPC after investigation by the ACMO on the recommendation of the CMO.
Jewar SHO Umesh Bahadur said that the sections under which the FIR has been registered carry a maximum jail term of three years. “The FIR has been registered on the instructions of the CMO office,” he said.
