Govt Schemes not for ‘Votebank’, but to Achieve ‘Self-Reliance’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday (February 5) urged educational institutions to create maximum awareness among the youth about government schemes, saying the schemes are not just for ‘vote-bank’, but There is a medium for the society to achieve ‘self-reliance’. Participating in the ‘bhoomi pujan’ of a hostel at the Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan run by the Bhaurao Deoras Seva Nyas in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said, “The public and especially the youth should know what the government is planning for them. A Society can progress and achieve ‘self-reliance’ only when it becomes a partner and moves ahead of the government.”

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged the educational institutions to ensure that the students are aware of various schemes and initiatives of the Central and State Governments so that they can get maximum benefits.

“UP has immense potential for startups in agriculture sector, we have to groom the youth. Schemes like Mission Indradhanush are ending the gender gap by ensuring that the girl child gets proper health care.”

He further said that Abhyudaya Coaching is providing free coaching through both physical and virtual medium to the aspiring youth of the state. Around 43 candidates have qualified and selected for UP Public Service Commission through Abhyudaya Coaching. Yogi Adityanath said that students desirous of setting up their startups should be made aware of the incentives being offered by the government and schemes like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana and ODOP.

Paying tribute to Sant Ravidas on his birth anniversary, Yogi remembered personalities like Dr. Bhaurao Deoras and Bharat Ratna Pandit Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya for their incomparable contribution to the society, saying, “PM Modi’s leadership among 140 people”.
