Govt Appoints Rajneesh Karnatak As BoI MD, Chand To Head BoB

New Delhi: The government on Saturday appointed Rajneesh Karnataka as the Managing Director of Bank of India (BOI) while Debdutt Chand as the Chairman of Bank of Baroda (BoB). The Department of Financial Services said in a notification that the Central Government appoints Karnataka, Executive Director, Union Bank of India as Managing Director and CEO of Bank of India for a period of three years.

Karnataka replaced Atanu Kumar Das who completed his three-year term in January this year. ,Also Read: Apple Store India Employee Salary, Educational Qualification & Other Details,

In a separate notification, the DFS said that Chand, presently ED of Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the same bank for a period of three years. ,ALSO READ: ‘Not interested in marrying my men’: Investor criticizes Schengen visa application process,

However, Chand will take over on July 1 after Sanjiv Chadha retires on June 30.

The notification of both the appointments came after the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), which is the headhunter for directors of state-owned banks and financial institutions, had shortlisted their names in January and recommended them to the DFS for obtaining necessary approval.
