Govinda’s nephew Bhojpuri actor Vinay Anand has shared an old picture with him Bollywood Star on his Instagram page. In the selfie, both can be seen smiling while posing for the camera. Along with the photo, Vinay wrote a long note in which he opened up about his bond with his uncle and also slammed certain sections of the media who are spreading rumors about their relationship.
Vinay wrote that though his relationship with Govinda isn’t great, it’s not “bad either”. He explained that since there is a great “age difference” between them, his uncle is “like a father figure” to him and therefore he is “afraid of him”. Seeing Govinda’s “status, talent and work”, Vinay feels quite “small” in front of him.
The Bhojpuri star further added that he respects his uncle a lot and he will always be his teacher. He revealed that everything he “acts and dances” knows is only because he grew up watching Govinda’s movies. He said that if a child insists on buying “ice cream” and if the elder does not buy it for him, it does not mean that the elder is bad. He is always the well wisher of youth.
Appreciating Govinda’s humble nature, Vinay clarified that he wants to “move with a pure heart” and have a positive attitude. Slamming the media for his controversial reports, he said that he would not be able to stoop so low in his career and life. He wants to survive in the film industry with his hard work and the love of his friends and fans. He ended his note by apologizing in advance in case his statement hurt anyone’s sentiments.
Recently, some media portals reported that the actor accused Govinda of not supporting him when he was struggling in Bollywood. Vinay made his debut with the 1999 film Lo Main Aa Gaya, which bombed at the box office. After working in a few more projects in Bollywood, he turned to Bhojpuri cinema.
Currently, Vinay has several projects lined up including Dum Ba in Bhojpuriya, in which he will star opposite Sanjay Pandey and Manoj Singh Tiger. He also has Teri Aankhen Mein Jadoo Hai in the pipeline in which he will be seen sharing screen space with Rani Chatterjee and Pakhi Hegde.
