Government sent team to evict Chirag Paswan from the bungalow allotted to his late father

new Delhi: The Directorate of Estates (DOE), under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, on Wednesday sent a team to evict Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan from the bungalow allotted to his late father Ram Vilas Paswan.

According to sources close to news agency PTI, the team of officials under the Directorate of Estates had gone to the bungalow at Janpath in the heart of the city to execute the eviction order issued to Chirag Paswan last year.

Notably, this is the third eviction by the Director of Estates in the last three days, in which BJP’s Lok Sabha MP Ram Shankar Katheria has been removed from 7 Motilal Nehru and BJP minister PC Sarangi from 10 Pandit Pant Marg.

“It is a routine process to send a team after the eviction notice. Chirag Paswan is already living in an MP flat allotted to him and 12 Janpath had to be vacated last year as it has already been allotted. This is the third eviction in three days, the occupants of the bungalows will move to MP flats,” the Indian Express quoted one of the officials as saying.

The bungalow was allotted to Chirag’s late father and former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan and in August last year, it was allotted to Union Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who is BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha.

It is to be noted that the House, which has been the official address of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), has now split into two differences between Chirag Paswan and his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras following the demise of former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. ,

The house was regularly used for organizing party organizational meetings and other related events.

Officials said the 12 Janpath bungalow has been earmarked for Union ministers and those living in the government residence have been asked to vacate it.
