Nagpur: First of its kind residential run by the government IIT coaching center ready to come Gadchiroli, which will boost the innovative educational initiatives ecosystem in the remote district. It will be unique not only because it is the first such project, but also because the local authorities have a well defined plan to run it in a highly professional and competitive manner.
Gadchiroli District Collector Deepak Singla said, “Highly qualified teachers have been engaged professionally to come to Gadchiroli and train our students for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The coaching will be for one year and every requirement of the students, whether it is academic or accommodation and boarding, will be taken care of by the government. Funding for this project has been approved by NITI Aayog, and we will soon start the first phase of selection of students.”
About 150 students from schools, ashramshalas etc. of Zilla Parishad (Zilla Parishad) of Gadchiroli will be selected for this one year residential camp. Singla said, “The selection of students will be on the basis of entrance test to be conducted by the Zilla Parishad Education Department. Teachers have been asked to create awareness about this initiative so that more and more students can participate.”
Proposed to come to Dhanora, about 200 km from Nagpur, the coaching center will get additional support from the Zilla Parishad in terms of logistics and human resource support. The ZP teachers will help identify the potential students and ensure that they appear for the entrance test.
The entrance test is likely to be conducted online, for which infrastructure facilities will be provided by the Zilla Parishad Education Department. Students currently enrolled in class XII will be eligible for this residential coaching.
Singla said, “Our job is to provide a platform to these children where their potential can be realized. In school, they prepare for their board exams, and it is very different from preparing for JEE. In a residential center They will be taught in a professional manner by experts, which will provide them with the necessary skills to appear in the highly competitive examination.”
