The central government has made an intention to put a complete stop on the attacks on issues like corona infection, economy, inflation and unemployment. This intention of the government became clear after the first meeting of the cabinet, when the new faces kept the information about the decisions among the public. The decisions which were earlier informed by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, now the responsibility of delivering those important decisions has been entrusted to the new Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur.

New Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya came in front of the media in place of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, who lost the ministry due to the second wave of Corona. As soon as he came, he announced an emergency package of 23 thousand crores. He used the word full stop many times in his short speech. Referred to the challenges of the third wave and also indicated that the Ministry of Health is already ready to put a complete stop to this wave.

First meeting after cabinet change
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the cabinet on Thursday. This was the first meeting of the cabinet after major changes in the cabinet. This meeting was done virtually. All 30 cabinet ministers participated in it. Immediately after this meeting, a meeting of the Council of Ministers was also held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.

Bringing a new package by taking lessons from the second wave
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said- In 2020, the government had given the first package of 15 thousand crores to deal with Corona. With the help of this, Kovid Dedicated Hospitals increased from 163 to 4,389. Earlier there were no Kovid Health Centers, now there are 8,338. The number of Kovid Care Centers has increased to 10 thousand. Oxygen beds have exceeded 4 lakhs.

This fund has been put to good use. In view of the problems faced by us in the second wave of Corona, we have brought a new package of 23 thousand crores. Center will spend 15 thousand crores and state governments will be given 8 thousand crores.

Focus on protecting children from corona
The Health Ministers said that this package is being given considering that there should not be any problem of oxygen in the country in future, there should be no shortage of essential medicines and what should be done to protect the children from infection. We will fight Kovid by using this package through a central and integrated digital platform. The focus will be on tele-medicine and tele-consultation.

There is a provision to make beds at the Primary Health Center and Community Health Center level in every state from July to March. There will also be a package arrangement for making 20 thousand ICU beds. Keeping the children in mind, there will be a hybrid arrangement in these ICUs.

Agriculture Minister said – One lakh crore rupees will reach the farmers through the mandis

  • Narendra Singh Tomar informed that in the cabinet meeting, arrangements have been made to strengthen the mandis for agriculture and farmers’ welfare, along with the use of agricultural infrastructure fund, interest waiver on loans has also been arranged. The government has made a plan to reach one lakh crore rupees to the farmers through the mandis.
  • Important amendments have been made in the Coconut Act for the benefit of coconut farmers. Under this, a coconut board will be made. Its CEO will not be a political man. When the budget came this time, it was said that the mandis would be strengthened. State government and cooperative federations, self-help groups and APMCs will be eligible for one lakh crore infrastructure fund.
  • Agri startups, a group of farmers will be given 3% interest subvention on loans up to Rs 2 crore. The maximum limit of these projects can be 25 and will be in different areas. A separate loan of Rs 2 crore will be given on these and interest will be waived. If more than one project is brought for the farmers in the area of ​​Krishi Upaj Mandi, then they will also be given such loans.
  • Interest subvention will be provided for APMC for loans up to Rs 2 crore for each project of various infrastructure such as cold storage, sorting, grading and assaying units, silos within a single market yard.
