Google wants users to know it is easier than ever to switch to ‘Team Pixel’ from the iPhone – Times of India

Google’s Pixel 7 series of smartphones — Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro — were launched earlier this year. And in the US it is the holiday season with Black Friday sale and other offers available for buyers, Google is making a case for users to switch to ‘Team Pixel’ from the iPhone. “Switching from iOS to a Pixel sounds like more of a hassle than a gift — you’ll be happy to hear that the whole process is easier than you think,” said Google in a blog post. Google explains four ways in which moving to Pixel is much easier if people were thinking otherwise.
Transferring data is easy
Google says that the Pixel 7 series comes with “everything you need to make moving your data easier”. There’s a USB adapter to connect your Pixel to your old iPhone and “once connected, prompts on your Pixel screen will guide you through the transfer process,” says Google.
Contacts, messages and more
Google wants users to know that “joining Team Pixel doesn’t mean you have to leave what matters to you behind”. Most apps, old messages and contacts all can be easily transferred from iOS to Pixel. Furthermore, music, iCloud, Google Calendar, call logs, and even Notes data can be transferred once the Pixel phone and iPhone are connected with a cable.
Photos are also easily transferred Transferring photos from iCloud
Google knows that a lot of people end up backing their photos on iCloud and says that it has a solution. “Even before you get your Pixel device, you can start the process of moving images from iCloud Photos to Google Photos at privacy.apple.com,” says Google. The tech giant couldn’t resist a dig at Apple and said that it “offers 15 GB of storage — three times as much storage as you may be used to.”
