Google to shut down Android Auto app for phone screens – Times of India

Google closing Android Auto for phone screen Application. According to a report by 9to5Google, it will be changed to google assistant driving mode.

The Android Auto service enables anyone to connect to their smartphone by offering a custom Google UI on the vehicle’s infotainment screen. However, not all cars come with built-in support for it. The Android Auto app for the phone screen was launched when Google had to delay it google assistant driving state. The app allows you to use Android Auto on your phone screen with phones running Android 10. It enables users to make calls, navigate, text and play music. It provides users with real-time navigation and traffic alerts.
Google Assistant driving mode will come with built-in Android 12 operating system. In a statement to 9to5Google, the tech giant said that “Google Assistant Driving Mode is our next evolution of the mobile driving experience. For those who use Android Auto in supported vehicles, the experience is not going to end. When using the Experience on the phone (Android Auto mobile app), they will be transferred to Google Assistant driving mode.
“Starting with Android 12, Google Assistant Driving Mode will be a built-in mobile driving experience. We have no further details to share at this time”, it added.
The Android Auto app for the phone screen is still available on the Google Play Store app. But looking incompatible with Pixel device on Android 12.
