Reports indicate that the Google AR headset could be launched in 2024 and that early prototypes of the product resemble a pair of ski goggles and do not require a tethered connection to an external power source. According to the report, the headset is still in the early stages of development. The hardware may be powered by a custom Google processor and will likely run on Android. However, the report cited a job listing that indicated that Google may be designing a unique operating system for the AR headset.
