Gold prices jump by Rs 100, check gold prices in your city

New Delhi: Gold prices rose further on Tuesday. The price of 22 carat gold rose by Rs 100 to Rs 47,750 per 10 grams, as against Rs 47,650 earlier. Meanwhile, the price of 24 carat gold was also trading with a gain of Rs 100. The price of 24 carat gold was Rs 52,080 as against Rs 51,980 earlier.

gold prices A softening dollar rose on Tuesday, while investors kept a close eye on major central banks’ stance on interest rate hikes for a clearer outlook for bullion. A weaker dollar makes greenback-priced bullion more attractive to buyers holding other currencies. Spot gold was up 0.2% at $1,841.13 an ounce by 0200 GMT on Monday after trading heavily. US gold futures ended 0.1% higher at $1,842.90. However, the benchmark US 10-year Treasury yield rose, leading to gains in zero-yield gold, a Reuters report said.

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices on Monday fell by Rs 242 to Rs 50,735 per 10 grams in the national capital amid a firming rupee. In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 50,977 per 10 grams. Silver also declined by Rs 770 to Rs 60,460 per kg from Rs 61,230 per kg in the previous trade.
