Gold prices fell on Thursday in the international market
On the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), August gold fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 47,869 for 10 grams at 0905 hrs on July 21.

Keeping an eye on the foreign market, the price of gold in India once again saw a sharp fall on Thursday. On the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), August gold for 10 grams closed at Rs 47,450, down 0.47 per cent at 0928 hrs on July 22. The yellow metal fell for the second time in three days amid weak global cues. Silver, another precious metal, also declined on Thursday. Silver September futures fell 0.97 per cent to Rs 67,036 per kg on July 22.
On Thursday, gold prices in the international market reached near one-week low. Spot gold was down 0.3% at $1,798.27 an ounce as of 0313 GMT. US gold futures fell 0.3% to $1,798.70 an ounce, according to Reuters.
