new Delhi: Real estate major Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) on Monday said the company has sold homes worth Rs 1,002 crore in Pune township so far this financial year, according to a PTI report.

Godrej Properties said in a regulatory filing that a sale of Rs 1,002 crore for its township project Riverhills in Mahalunge, Pune has been achieved in FY22. In this township project, the firm has sold over 1,550 homes with an area of ​​more than 1.5 million square feet in the current financial year.

Starting its first phase in the township, since September 2019, Godrej Properties has sold over 3,600 homes with an area of ​​34 lakh sq ft and booking value of over Rs 2,100 crore.

Mohit Malhotra, Managing Director and CEO, Godrej Properties said, “Customer confidence is a reflection of the growing demand for community and integrated development by reputed developers.

Godrej Properties said Riverhills is a mixed-use settlement, situated between a river and a hill, with over 8 hectares of accessible greenery.

As per the filing, it is one of the first townships in the proposed 283-hectare Mahalunge Mann Hi-Tech City and is close to residential hub Baner and IT hub Hinjewadi.

Godrej Properties on Thursday announced the sale of 855 homes worth Rs 1,650 crore within a year of the launch of its project Godrej Woods in Noida.

The company is likely to achieve the highest ever sales bookings in FY 2011-22, breaking the previous year’s record of Rs 6,725 crore.

Housing brokerage firm Anarock reported that sales in the top seven cities grew 71 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to 2,36,530 units in 2021.

According to real estate consultant PropTiger.com, housing sales across eight major cities grew by 13 per cent to 2,05,936 units in 2021 from 1,82,639 units in the previous year.
