‘Goa government to consider proposal to resume classes for college children’ Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that the state government would consider it positively. Proposal Directorate of Higher Education (And) to start Body Classes for college students.
Sawant said there are no plans to start physical classes for students of schools and higher secondary institutions. “Students above 18 have taken covid vaccine, and the government may consider the proposal to start positive colleges,” he said.
On Monday, DHE had asked principals to devise ways to start classes in physical mode. The new academic year 2021-22 for general streams is starting from 1st September.
“Heads of educational institutions falling under the purview of DHE may take appropriate decision after following appropriate SOPs based on the ground reality and availability of infrastructure to conduct classes in physical mode for the new academic year 2021-22 . Covid-19 pandemic,” Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolaykar had said in the circular.
