VALPOI: Voting that commenced on a rather slow note in the Valpoi and Poriem constituencies picked up later in the day and cultivated at 82.86% and 86.04% voter turnout, respectively.
Till 1pm, Valpoi and Poriem had recorded only 39% and 48.6% voter turnout.
Poriem BJP candidate Deviya Rane said she is waiting for March 10 to celebrate her victory with her supporters.
“I have worked for the people so I have their blessings. I’ll definitely win with a thumping majority,” BJP candidate from Valpoi constituency Vishwajit Rane said.
MGP’s Valpoi candidate Vishwesh Prabhu also expressed confidence of winning the seat.
