Go First Crisis: Amid the ongoing crisis, airline GoFirst announced on Tuesday that its scheduled flight operations would remain canceled until June 16, adding that full refunds would be issued to passengers.

Earlier, it was to be by June 12. “We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, GoFirst flights scheduled until June 16, 2023 have been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation,” GoFirst said in a tweet Said.

“We acknowledge that flight cancellations may disrupt your travel plans and we are committed to providing all possible assistance,” they said in a letter. He further added that full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly.

The airline filed for voluntary bankruptcy in May

Earlier on June 8, GoFirst announced that its scheduled flight operations would remain canceled until June 12. The airline operator filed for voluntary bankruptcy in early May and has been at a standstill since then.

Civil aviation regulator DGCA had advised the airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring or revival plan within a period of 30 days. The revival plan once submitted by GoFirst will be reviewed by the regulator for further appropriate action in the matter.

Earlier on May 8, the DGCA had issued a show cause notice to the budget carrier under relevant provisions of the Aircraft Rules, 1937 for failing to continue to operate the service in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. The airline has filed its reply to the show cause notice.
