First Go Update: Crisis-hit airline GoFirst has announced that its scheduled flight operations will remain canceled till June 30 due to operational reasons. Initially, the airline said operations would remain suspended till June 25. The cash-strapped airline’s planes have been flying since May 3.

Earlier this May, GoFirst filed for bankruptcy at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and suspended its flight operations due to mounting losses, mainly due to delays in delivery of Pratt and Whitney engines for its The grounding of a part of the fleet took place. , The airline is hopeful of an immediate resolution and revival of operations.

“We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, GoFirst flights scheduled till June 30, 2023 have been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation,” the airline said in a tweet.

It added, “We acknowledge that flight cancellations may disrupt your travel plans and we are committed to providing all possible assistance.”

“As you are aware, the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and revival of operations. We will be able to resume bookings shortly. We thank you for your patience,” the airline said. The initial flights put pressure on airfares, especially on select routes where the now-defunct airline had a presence.
