Greater Noida: With the expansion of projects and residential-industrial development, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (rub) is moving towards decentralization by planning zonal offices on the lines of Delhi.

The move comes after the increased occupancy of over 2-3 lakh residents in this area and around 101 RWAs and AOAs seeking redressal related to civil, electrical, horticulture, maintenance and property in their vicinity , for which they presently have to travel more than 25 km from Farmer Chowk to the present GNIDA office at Knowledge Park IV in Greater Noida.
In the 122nd meeting of the GNIDA board held on 26th June last month, the proposal for a second office in this area has been passed, the authority has started the tender for the office premises.
Officials said that two more offices are planned in the second phase area of Greater Noida, taking GNIDA to a total of four offices in the near future.
GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhushan said that the Noida Extension office will be a self-contained office, which will serve the purpose of the area including civic, maintenance and electricity issues, besides asset and policy decisions, maps and project clearances.
“The office will be built on a plot of 11,000 sqm in Techzone IV. We have started tendering for the project to be built at a cost of Rs 2.1 crore. It is expected to be ready in two-three months,” said AK Arora, general manager (projects) GNIDA.
