gnida: GNIDA to impose Rs 10 lakh fine on unauthorized use of authority logo | Noida News – Times of India

GREATER NOIDA: Given the rising development in the Greater Noida region, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued a notice against unauthorized use of the authority logo in its project sales pitch or otherwise. Any companies or builders found using the GNIDA logo without permission will be charged a fine of Rs 10 lakh followed by cancellation lease deed.
“The authority has decided to impose a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the companies who will engage in unauthorized use/application of the logo for the promotion of their products, projects or units. Action of cancellation of the lease deed along with cancellation of map of allotted plots will be taken if we find any flouting of this rule,” said Santosh Kumar officer on special duty (OSD) builder cell GNIDA.
The move comes after complaints of some companies were found using the GNIDA logo without permission in their publicity to win the trust of the investors, while the authority is not directly related to their projects said the official.
Kumar said that following this, CEO GNIDA Narendra Bhushan directed the implementation of the Rs 10 lakh fine and cancellation of lease deed and map clearance if found repeating the act. “If any allottee company uses the logo of GNIDA without permission, then for the first time he will be fined Rs 10 lakh. And if the mistake is repeated, the approved map of the allotted plot will also be canceled. Action will also be taken to cancel his lease deed,’ said Bhooshan.
OSD Kumar also cautioned investors to check projects before investing their hard-earned money in them. “We request everyone to check complete information of the projects they wish to invest in. They should check for its veracity through GNIDA or its website to save themselves from problems later,” said Kumar.
