Gurgaon: In its plan to upgrade the Southern Peripheral Road – Golf Course Road between Tee Point and NH48 – Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is looking to engage developers who have their own projects along a 12km stretch.
The improvement plan, as recently submitted to the authority, involves the construction of flyovers at five important points along the Golf Course Road extension portion of the stretch, between Ghat Tee Point and. Vatika ChowkWith service roads, footpaths, drains, handicap-friendly footpaths, cycle tracks and green areas. A GMDA official said the entire project would cost Rs 541.9 crore.

“The town and country planning department will hold a meeting with developers and builders to discuss the matter and take a commitment regarding their contribution,” a senior GMDA official said on condition of anonymity. The SPR houses several large residential societies, offices and commercial complexes belonging to major builders and developers.
