GMDA approves five roads project in Gurugram connecting Dewrka expressway

Gurgaon: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) during the 62nd Core Planning Cell meeting approved the project tender for five major roads in Gurugram from Sector 99 to 115, which will be connected to the Deorka Expressway. Officials said over Rs 80 crore would be spent on the project, which would be ready within a year.

According to GMDA officials, all these roads were developed by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) in 2014 and handed over to the GMDA in 2018. He said that after the handover, only patchwork was done on all these roads. Roadways were damaged due to passing of big cars during highway construction. According to officials, all these roads will require new construction.

The first road will be the Sector 114 outer road, which will be 700 meters long and will cost Rs 10.66 crore to be constructed. The second road will be the master road connecting Sector 102 and 102A, which will cost Rs 100 crore. 15.48 crores for the construction. The third is a road between Sector 106 and 103 which will cross the motorway and will cost ₹17.86 crore. The fourth road is to be renovated between Sector 106 to 109, which will cost Rs 18.92 crore. According to officials, the route will have a junction that will be connected to the Dwarka Motorway. GMDA’s last road project is the master road between Sector 102A and 103, which will cost ₹16.41 crore.

GMDA Chief Executive Officer PC Meena told officials that the infrastructure should have flyovers and underpasses, adding, “The reconstruction is keeping in mind the fact that once the Dwarka Expressway becomes operational, development work in these areas will Can pick up speed. Along with this, instructions have been given to construct proper drainage system along with the roads.

United Association of New Gurugram President Praveen Malik said, “The GMDA should audit the master sector roads and ensure that the roads which are in a bad condition are taken up for special repairs instead of being maintained with only patchwork.” Go.”

According to officials, the GMDA’s roadways are divided into five sectors: Sectors 1 to 57, 58-67, 68-80, 81-95 and 99-115. He said that the roads from Sector 1 to 80 have been developed and maintained, but the roads in Sector 81 are still under work. He said that due to Dwarka Motorway, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, various roads in Zone 5 (99-105) are being constructed on priority basis.
