Car buried in glacier in Narkanda’s Batnal.
Two incidents of glacier fall have been reported in Himachal’s famous tourist destination Narkanda and tribal district Lahaul Spiti today. HP-06A 6203 number car got hit by glacier in Narkanda’s Batnal. Due to this, Kumarsain resident Chaman Lal, daughter Sweety and granddaughter Inaya, who were in the car, suffered minor injuries. They were pulled out of a car buried in the glacier with the help of local people. They have been discharged from the hospital after first aid in Narkanda. At the same time, National Highway-03 has been blocked due to glacier fall in Billing Nala of Lahaul-Spiti. The high peaks of the state are receiving light fresh snowfall since late night. Lahaul-Spiti’s Gondla received the highest 35 cm, Keylong 26 cm, Manali 17 cm, Kalpa 12 cm and Pooh 6 cm fresh snowfall. After the turn of the weather, cold wave is going on in the high altitude areas. Due to this, a drop of up to 7 degree Celsius has been recorded in the minimum and maximum temperatures.

It rained throughout the night in low altitude and medium altitude areas of the state. Last night highest 23 mm (MM) in Manali, 19 MM in Dalhousie and Chamba, 6.4 MM in Shimla and Sundernagar, 5.1 MM in Dharamsala, 5.4 MM in Solan, 5.8 MM in Mandi, Paonta Sahib 6.4 MM, Kufri 5.5 MM Rain was recorded. Due to this, the farmers and gardeners of low altitude areas have breathed a sigh of relief. Rain will prove beneficial especially for the wheat crop.
Weather will be bad till 27
Even today the weather remains bad in most areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a forecast of bad weather in the state till February 27. During this, there may be light snowfall in higher areas and rain in other areas.
Keylong’s mercury was recorded at -3.1 degrees
After the turn of the weather, Una’s temperature dropped by 7 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature was 13 degrees Celsius, Shimla 5.2 degrees, Sundernagar 9.5 degrees, Manali 1 degree, Mandi 11.3 degrees, Keylong -3.1 degrees, Kalpa -0.6 , Mandi 11.3 degree, Hamirpur 9 degree Celsius was recorded.
