Thane: Three injured when an oil tanker collided with a container truck and three cars Gaimukh Late Sunday night.
The accident led to heavy traffic jam on Ghodbunder Road and commuters got stuck in a long queue of traffic jams on Monday morning. Traffic on the Gujarat-bound lane of Ghodbunder Road was closed on Monday after the accident.
The incident took place at 10.20 pm near Nagla Bandar on the edge of the city and the traffic snarl spread for about eight kilometers till Majiwada in the city.
Police said they are working towards clearing traffic from the spot.
Thane Regional Disaster Management Cell’s Santosh Kadam said that three people injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital. Bhaktivedanta Hospital.
The injured have been identified as Vinod Kharat (30), Srishti Patil (18) and Pandurang Patil (45).
Kasarvadavali In Thane, traffic police officers, Kasarvadavali police officers and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot with two emergency tenders, a fire brigade and a quick response vehicle (QRV). Meera Bhayander On receiving the information, fire officials along with one fire brigade, one crane, three hydra, one JCB and three ambulances were also present on the spot.
