Ggn Woman Says She Was Raped In Jaipur In 2019, Lodges Fir | Jaipur News – Times of India

Jaipur: The city police are set to begin a probe into a Gurgaon-based woman’s allegations that she was raped and assaulted by a man when she lived in Jaipur in 2019. The 25-year-old has lodged a case at a women’s police station in Gurgaon. An FIR was lodged at Kho Nagorian police station in the city after Gurugram Police sent a zero number FIR to Jaipur Police based on the woman’s case.
The woman, a native of Haryana, has alleged in her FIR that when she was living in a rented house in Jaipur in 2019, she was raped and assaulted by a man named Divyam Mudgal, 24, who lived in the same neighbourhood at the time, said police. “She has alleged that the accused had promised to marry her, but whenever she asked him to marry her, he assaulted and threatened her. Since she is presently living in Gurugram, she has lodged a case there. As the incident allegedly took place in Jaipur, we have received the zero FIR and we are beginning a probe,” said Manohar Lal, SHO of Kho Nagorian police station on Monday.
He said a case has been registered under appropriate Sections of IPC for assault and rape.
The Gurgaon woman would be invited to Jaipur to record her statements and her medical examination would be conducted as part of the investigation process, he added. tnn
