Genelia Deshmukh is grabbing headlines for a recent social media post, where she was strolling the streets of New York, that too barefoot.
The actress shared the short clip on her official Instagram account, through the story. The 21-second clip shows the actress walking the side streets of New York, engulfed in darkness because of the late hour. The highlight of the clip is that she is completely barefoot. Carrying the stunning pink stilettoes in her hands, Genelia walks through a zebra crossing, seemingly on an empty road. Since the video is recorded from behind, she twirls elegantly to the camera with an adorable smile and continues walking.
The caption on the clip reads, “Barefoot on the streets of NYC and why not???” The actress has opted for a black, collared jumpsuit for her night outing while keeping her hair tied in a perfect ponytail. And she has accessorised the fit with silver hoop earrings.
Genelia last appeared in the film Trial Period, directed and written by Aleya Sen. The cast includes Genelia Deshmukh, Manav Kaul, Gajraj Rao, Shakti Kapoor and Sheeba Chadha, among many others. It is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Hemant Bhandari, Amit Ravindernath Sharma and Aleya Sen under the banners of Jio Studios and Chrome Pictures. While the music in the film is given by Shantanu Moitra and Anupam Roy.
Her upcoming release includes Sitaare Zameen Par, being dubbed as a sports drama. Directed by R S Prasanna, the film stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary as the leads. It is being produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy are composing the music while the cinematographer is G Srinivas Reddy. The film is set to release in December, this year.
