Geeta Basra says Harbhajan Singh was taking pictures in the delivery room during the birth of his son

Cricketer Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Basra recently welcomed their second child earlier this month. The couple, who are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Hinaya, welcomed their baby boy on July 10. And though the couple is yet to share the name and glimpse of the newborn, Geeta recently shared her family’s reaction. The birth of the child in his first interview after delivery.

In an interview to The Times, Geeta revealed that she had a normal delivery, “But it was a great experience. I am very grateful to the set of doctors and their staff who took care of me. Though it was a bit tough during my Hinaya’s (first child, daughter) time.”

Geeta Basra also spoke about Harbhajan Singh being in the delivery room and said, “Oh yes, right from the word ‘go’. He was taking pictures. He loves kids. He also played Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar. Has played a lot with the kids of K.K. When asked if Harbhajan celebrated the occasion with Bhangra, he said, “Not really. But yes, he was on cloud nine as soon as he saw the child. Since then, he is so happy that it needs to be seen. Speaking about daughter Hinaya’s reaction, Geeta said, “Oh, she is constantly looking at her brother as if it is a toy and has become very responsible.”

Talking about the name of the newborn, Geeta said, “Me and Harbhajan are going to announce it in a day or two. This is the name I thought of while carrying Hinaya five years ago.” Geeta also revealed that the couple has different surnames for their son. Geeta calls him ‘Chhotu’, ‘Harbhajan They are called ‘Shera’.

Earlier this month, Harbhajan shared the news of his son’s birth on Instagram. “A new little hand for us, His love is grand, as precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives are full. We wish to bless us with a healthy baby boy.” Thank God. Both Geeta and the baby are doing well. We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to express our gratitude to all our well wishers for their continued love and support,” he said in a post.
